Specialists said Henderson and Aaron McKinney, 21, acted like gay people and attracted the 5-foot-2, 105-hammer Shepard out of a bar last October, captured and gun whipped him and left him attached to a fence neglected. The 21-year-old University of Wyoming understudy kicked the bucket five days after the fact at an emergency clinic. Henderson said he drove the truck and helped attach Shepard to the fence, yet accused McKinney for the beating. He said he attempted to stop the beating, however McKinney struck him when he shouted out. ?Matthew looked downright terrible, so I advised [McKinney] to stop, he's had enough,? Henderson said. Henderson then apologized to Shepard's folks, Judy and Dennis: ?I'm upset for what I did and I'm prepared to pay my obligation for what I did.? Judge Jeffrey A. Donnell excused his statement of regret. ?This court doesn't trust you feel any regret,? Donnell said when he condemned him. ?The torment you have caused here, Mr. Henderson, will never disappear. Never.?
